After almost a decade of working in law, Barrett Hunt opened his own private law practice in November of 2017. Since then, the Hunt & Hunt Law Firm has been serving clients throughout Gregg, Rusk, Upshur, and Camp counties.

Barrett Hunt
Barrett comes from a family that has long been a part of the East Texas area. Barrett was born and raised in Tyler. After high school, Barrett attended Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Sociology as well as a minor in Business.
Right after graduating from Texas A&M, Barrett attended South Texas College of Law. After passing the bar, Barrett worked as a prosecutor in the Smith County District Attorney’s office where he learned the ins and outs of the criminal justice system.
In 2017, Barrett started the Hunt & Hunt Law Firm which specializes in Criminal and Family Law.
Barrett is a member of the Gregg County Bar Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. When he is not working hard for his clients, Barrett enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Claire Hunt
Claire Hunt is a Longview and Tyler, Texas native. She’s an accomplished attorney with strong ties to her community. After graduating highschool, she attended the University of Texas at Tyler. She earned her B.A. in Accounting.
Once she graduated, she continued on to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law where she graduated in the top 25%. Later that year, she was admitted into the Texas Bar.
Claire began her legal career as a misdemeanor prosecutor at the Gregg County District Attorney's Office where she served for four years.
In September 2019, Claire entered private practice alongside her husband. Together, they serve clients in Gregg, Rusk, Upshur, and Camp counties.
Outside of her professional life, Claire enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She loves spending time with her husband and being a mom to their two boys.
